MANILA, Philippines — A number of flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport were delayed on Monday due to a technical issue with the software used in the Air Traffic Management Center of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

The CAAP said it had to provide "longer separation of departing flights" to ensure the safety of the flying public.
