KYIV – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Agence France-Presse (AFP) in an exclusive interview that he expected Russia to step up its offensive in his country's northeast and warned that Kyiv only had a quarter of the air defenses it needs to hold the front line.
Russian forces, which made only moderate advances in recent months, launched a surprise assault on Kharkiv region on May 10 that has resulted in their biggest territorial gains in 18 months.
