Bangko Sentral looking to lower reserve ratios

BANK reserve requirements should be substantially lowered but the timing will be critical, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona Jr. said on Friday.

'[W]e would like to reduce the reserve requirement by quite a bit, because I think it's distorting financial intermediation,' he said in a Bloomberg interview.
