THE National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said on Thursday its charges to distribution utilities (DUs) for ancillary services will increase and this will be reflected in the June billing period.

During a briefing held in the same day, NGCP Assistant Vice President for Public Relations Cynthia Perez-Alabanza explained this is because of the partial lifting of the March settlement amounts of the Reserves Market by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). This may incur an additional average charge of 10 centavos for the transmission charge under ancillary services.
