MANILA, Philippines — The path to the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball championship was not an easy one for the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs.

For one, they face a fierce rival in the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses who provided a tough challenge in the best-of-three finals.
