MANILA, Philippines — At least four minor successive phreatic or steam-driven eruptions were recorded on Thursday over Taal Volcano in Batangas province, according to a report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs Director Teresito Bacolcol told The Manila Times that the minor explosions occurred between 8:54 a.m. to 8:57 a.m., 11:07 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., 01:48 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. and 5:37 p.m. to 5:38 p.m. based on visual and seismic observations.
