2 soldiers killed by lightning strike

(UPDATE) A LIGHTNING strike killed two soldiers and injured four others during a military operation in Western Uma, Lubuagan, Kalinga on May 12.

Maj. Rigor Pamittan, spokesman of the Philippine Army's 5th Infantry Division, identified the fatalities as Cpl. Andrew Monterubio, 30, of Gamu, Isabela; and Pfc. Inmongog Aronchay, 26, of Sadanga, Mt. Province, both of the 54th Infantry Battalion (54IB) of the 5th Infantry Division (5ID).
