Immigration, media work together vs trafficking

MANILA, Philippines -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Airport Press Club (APC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to combat human trafficking.

Both sides stressed the need for responsible and ethical media coverage in order to tackle the issue.

Save the Children pushes for increased cooperation among local government units, law enforcement agencies and nongovernmental organizations through the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking to ensure that policies, programs and services are available, and that children are always protected.
