THE Department of Agriculture (DA) said on Saturday that the onset of La Niña poses no imminent threat to rice production.

"We are already preparing our rice fields for the arrival of the wet season, which also started this month of May," Agriculture spokesman Arnel de Mesa said in a news forum, noting the harvest season has already concluded in most parts of the country.
