WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Biden administration on Thursday proposed a new policy that would expedite the quick expulsion of asylum seekers convicted of serious crimes or deemed to be a threat to national security.
The proposal published Thursday would allow authorities to reject claims from asylum seekers with certain criminal backgrounds within days of their arrival in the country.
