Privatization of Iloilo Airport eyed in 2025

ILOILO CITY – The privatization of the Iloilo International Airport in Cabatuan, Iloilo may push through by the first quarter of 2025, the Department of Transportation (DoTr) said.

Enrique Antonio Esquivel III, DoTr assistant secretary for Aviation and Airports, in a letter addressed to Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas on May 6, said, 'we envisage the award of the project to the private sector within the 1st quarter of 2025.'
