PH, South Korea officials meet to boost tourism ties

TOURISM Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco met with South Korea Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) Minister Yu In Chon in Seoul on Wednesday, ahead of the Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF). The two officials expressed their desire to maintain the longstanding partnership between Filipinos and Koreans in the area of tourism exchange.

'Our longstanding relationship, which spanned 75 years this year, is one that our government deeply cherishes and appreciates,' Frasco said. 'We greatly value our visitors from Korea, especially since the Koreans are our number one source market for the Philippines, with over 1,450,857 Koreans visiting the Philippines in 2023,' she said. Frasco thanked the Koreans for their interest in the Philippines.
