Construction materials price growth slows anew

THE wholesale price growth of construction materials in Metro Manila slowed further in April compared to last year due to a decline in the annual prices of plumbing fixtures and waterworks, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said.

Government data on Thursday showed that the average growth in the construction materials wholesale price index (CMWPI) in the National Capital Region slowed to a rate of 0.7 percent last month from a 7.4-percent growth rate in April 2023.
