DAVAO CITY: Members of the City Council here have asked the Department of Transportation (DoTr) through a resolution to expedite the turnover of the Davao International Airport (DIA) from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to the Davao International Airport Authority (DIAA).
The move was an offshoot of a confirmation made by Davao CAAP General Manager Rex Obcena during the regular city council session on Tuesday, May 7, that the terminal fees collected at the airport are directly remitted to the CAAP and that the P121 million fund for 2024 has yet to be downloaded.
