GENEVA, Switzerland – Tobacco use is declining in 150 countries, 56 of which are on track to achieve the global target of reducing tobacco use by 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) Results Report 2023 said.
The report also said that an additional 29 countries developed multi-sectoral national action plans on antimicrobial resistance during the biennium 2022-2023, bringing the total to 178 countries.
