THE Supreme Court declared that red-tagging threatens a person's right to life, liberty or security as it granted a writ of amparo in favor of Siegfred Deduro, an activist and former Bayan Muna party-list representative.

A writ of amparo is a remedy available to an individual whose right to life, liberty and security is violated or threatened by an unlawful act or omission of a public official or employee or a private individual or entity.
