MANILA, Philippines: Philippine Book Development Federation President Dominador Buhain said there was a lack of materials for technical vocational education and training (TVET) in the country.
"With regard to [Technical vocational (Techvoc)] materials which was mentioned earlier on top of the difficulty of coming up with training regulations, which takes years to be completed and approved by the [Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda)] Board, there is a scarcity of varied learning materials considering the number of subjects that should be filled in by technological materials," said Buhain at the Philippine Book Festival on Wednesday.
