PROPERTY developer Stonebridge Corp. has acquired a heavily discounted stake in listed firm Roxas and Co. Inc. (RCI) for P500 million.
Stonebridge, chaired by entrepreneur Gizela Gonzalez-Montinola, purchased 250 million shares — equivalent to roughly 9 percent of RCI — to "increase its presence in the real estate sector," the company founded by the Roxas-Elizalde families said in a filing on Tuesday.
