DSWD to aid jeepney drivers impacted by transport modernization scheme

MANILA, Philippines: The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is ready to assist jeepney drivers who will be impacted by the implementation of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).

'If someone approaches us and requests assistance, it will be responded to immediately by the DSWD,' Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said in a statement on Saturday.
