DoJ issues survivorship claims guidelines

THE Department of Justice (DoJ) on Thursday issued guidelines to expedite the processing of claims for the surviving spouse and children of deceased prosecutors.

Department Circular 038 signed by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said claims may only be filed by the legitimate surviving spouse, dependent offspring of the qualified prosecutor, or legal guardian or duly authorized representative of the qualified beneficiary under the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 11643.
