SEN. Juan Edgardo "Sonny" Angara sought the granting of Philippine citizenship to Bennie Boatwright III to further boost Gilas Pilipinas, the national men's basketball team.
The senator said once naturalized, Boatwright, 27, can serve as the backup of fellow naturalized player Justin Brownlee.
