Angara seeks citizenship for Boatwright for Gilas Pilipinas

MANILA, Philippines: Sen. Juan Edgardo 'Sonny' Angara sought the granting of citizenship to Bennie Boatwright III to further boost the Gilas Pilipinas national men's basketball team.

The senator said once naturalized, Boatwright, 27, is expected to serve as the backup of fellow naturalized player Justin Brownlee in the Gilas Pilipinas roster.
