THE Ateneo de Manila University Press has launched the first Filipino translation of a 19th-century Spanish novel believed to have influenced Jose Rizal's "Noli Me Tángere."
"Doña Perfecta: Isang Nobela," translated by University of the Philippines professor Wystan de la Peña, was launched by the Instituto Cervantes de Manila during the celebration of Día del Libro (World Book Day) on April 20.
