Transport modernization may worsen unemployment – Poe

SEN. Grace Poe said on Tuesday that jeepney drivers who failed to join the public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program would join the ranks of the unemployed.

'Those who will be left behind are bound to lose their livelihood and will add to our unemployment statistics — a woeful reality for Labor Day,' Poe said in a statement.
