What's wrong with being pro-China?

BLAME it on the packaging, style, method of work, or whatever, but the overall impression one got as one entered the hall of the Quezon City Sports Club that Wednesday morning was that the heavily attended event was pro-China. Nothing to that effect was said but there, in big bold letters backgrounding the fiery anti-US rhetoric by the iconic rebel returnee Ka Eric (his ubiquitous tandem partner Dr. Lorraine Badoy as ever lending support by her very presence in the panel of speakers), the affair's overriding advocacy: 'No to US-BBM Proxy War,' at the bottom of which was the phrase 'Koalisyon ng Mamamayan Kontra Giyera.'

There was no telling the advocacy slogan from the name of the organization advocating that slogan.
