BSP ready to handle currency volatility

THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is ready to address foreign exchange volatility amid pressures from a strong dollar, its top official said.

'The story has been one of dollar strength rather than peso weakness,' BSP Governor Eli Remolona Jr. said in a statement issued late Thursday.
