Filipino fencers begin quest for Olympic berths

FUJAIRAH, United Arab Emirates: This is it. It's touché or miss for the 'brave four' Filipino fencers and their Olympic dreams.

Veteran fencers Nathaniel Perez, Noelito Jose, Hanniel Abella and Samantha Catantan will aim for that elusive berth in the 2024 Paris Olympics as they all try to end a 32-year drought of a Filipino fencer competing in the Summer Games this year.
