Group alarmed over uproar on Chinese students

'We express our profound concern over recent inflammatory remarks made by certain politicians regarding the presence of a small number of Chinese students in Cagayan province, northern Philippines,' it said in a statement on Wednesday.

'These unfair and negative statements contradict our nation's efforts to attract Chinese tourists and investors, thus jeopardizing our international reputation as a premier destination for tourism and investment, especially in the flourishing market of education tourism across Asia,' it added.
