Case filed against OceanaGold's mining contract renewal

The Legal Rights and Natural Resources Center (LRC) said that a legal case was brought to a local court in Nueva Vizcaya on Monday, April 22, challenging the renewal of OceanaGold Philippines, Inc. (OGPI) mining contract.

The petition highlights the lack of consultation with communities and disregard for local autonomy.
