Never judge Yoshinoya by its serving time

I LOVE Yoshinoya for its delicious, inexpensive Japanese meals that are served fast and easy. Last July 2023, when I was in Toyota City (near Nagoya) with my clients, we went to a Yoshinoya outlet along the route next to a factory we intended to visit. Eight of us, one Japanese consultant and seven Filipinos, ordered almost identical set menus.

I ordered my favorite ebi (shrimp) tempura bento with a steaming bowl of rice, miso soup and appetizing pickled vegetables, which were served to me in 46 seconds. Awesome! Almost all of my clients got their respective orders in around that time as well as if they knew we don't have much time to spare in this time-conscious nation.
