AEV aims to expand non-energy business

ABOITIZ Equity Ventures Inc. (AEV) is looking to strengthen its non-energy segments and pursue fresh opportunities as part of a diversification strategy.

'Our objective is to have at least 50 percent of our Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) coming from the non-power business,' AEV Chief Financial Officer Jose Emmanuel Hilado said in a briefing on Monday.
