THE Department of Energy (DoE) has reiterated its support for the proposed legislation seeking to propel the natural gas industry's growth in the Philippines, expecting to address energy security concerns and high power costs.
Energy Undersecretary Sharon Garin raised the matter after the fourth meeting of the Senate Committee on Energy Technical Working Group on Senate Bill (SB) 2247, which seeks to develop the country's natural gas industry.
