(UPDATE) THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Thursday it will participate for the first time in the Balikatan exercise conducted jointly by the Philippines and the United States.
More than 16,700 Filipino and American troops will take part in this year's drills, which kicked off Monday and last until May 8.
