AS the US and Chinese economies are decoupling, certain countries and industries in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, such as the Philippines, are increasingly vulnerable to the consequences, said Moody's Analytics.

In a report, Moody's Analytics' associate economist Dave Chia and senior economist Stefan Angrick noted that economies in the APAC region are closely connected with both the United States and China.
