THE peso's fall eased on Thursday and the stock market climbed back to the 6,500 level with market sentiment said to have improved.

The currency closed at P57.19 against the dollar, down a centavo, while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 73.15 points, or 1.13 percent, to end the day at 6,523.19.
