MONETARY policy decisions should prioritize inflation management and not be too reliant on expected moves by the US central bank, an International Monetary Fund (IMF) official said.
"We recommend Asian central banks to focus on domestic inflation and avoid making their policy decisions overly dependent on anticipated moves by the Federal Reserve (Fed)," IMF Asia and Pacific Department Director Krishna Srinivasan said in a briefing on Thursday.
