METRO Manila mayors said they are ready for the two-day strike of jeepney drivers and operators who are protesting the government's public utility vehicle modernization program (PUVMP).

The Metro Manila Council (MMC) said they have mapped out contingency plans, including providing transportation to commuters affected by the nationwide transport strike that begins today, April 15.
