THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with the Philippine Air Force (PAF), is set to airlift around 7,000 family food packs (FFPs) to Batanes as part of its augmentation assistance to the province.
Assistant Secretary for Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) Irene Dumlao said on Saturday, April 5, that a PAF C-130 aircraft transported 600 FFPs from Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, to Batanes on Friday, following the issuance of tsunami alert after the April 3 Taiwan earthquake.
