WITH the heat index continuing to soar, the Department of Labor and Employment on Thursday reminded employers to protect their workers from the effects of extreme heat.
In an advisory, Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma urged employers and establishments to assess the risk of exposure to health-related illness and determine proper protection for their workers, particularly those with comorbidities such as hypertension and kidney diseases.
