Energy stakeholders told: Prepare for higher demand

THE Department of Energy (DoE) on Thursday called on energy stakeholders to prepare for a big spike in electricity consumption during the dry season.

It warned of power outages despite the advisory from the Department of Science and Technology, saying the effects of the El Niño phenomenon have already waned.
