THE nonperforming loan (NPL) ratio of Philippine banks was at 3.44 percent in February, data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) showed, unchanged from January but up from the year-earlier 3.31 percent.

It was also the highest since May 2023's 3.46 percent.
