Other projections 'recalibrated' by economic managers due to global headwinds

THE government has lowered this year's growth target and also reduced expectations for next year given trade and geopolitical headwinds.

The 2024 gross domestic product (GDP) growth goal was cut to 6.0 to 7.0 percent, from 6.5 to 7.5 percent previously, while that for 2025 was narrowed to 6.5 to 7.5 percent from 6.5 to 8.0 percent.
