MANILA, Philippines: Amid a tsunami warning that was caused by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake in Taiwan, the Cagayan Valley Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CVRDRRMC) began evacuating residents living in coastal areas on Wednesday.

The tsunami warning was issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Wednesday.
