NPC's petition for new rate slammed

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: Power consumers here opposed the petition filed by the National Power Corp. (NPC) before the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) seeking the approval of the proposed new subsidized approved generation rate (SAGR) with a prayer for provisional authority or interim relief.

The consumers claimed that this would eventually lead to higher generation charge for both residential and commercial consumers.
