Yellow alerts possible in Luzon grid – IEMOP

THE Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) said that the Luzon grid could experience yellow alerts this summer, but only if there are forced outages in big power plants.

During a briefing last week, IEMOP Corporate Strategy and Communications Department head Isidro Cacho Jr. explained what could trigger a yellow alert, which indicates thin power reserves.
