Easter, a day that symbolizes hope and God's sovereignty, a God showing us that even after Jesus died on Friday, God's power was able to resurrect him on the third day. I can only imagine the despair of those who loved Jesus while this was happening in real time, all hope was probably gone, and they can only wish for a miracle long promised. Doesn't it seem that way for most of us?

While in the midst of it, attempting to find hope is the most difficult thing to do because it requires a level of courage and strength that we are depleted of during the most strenuous seasons of our lives and yet, we find a way to do so, one step at a time. The story of Resurrection Sunday is one that I hold closely in my heart no matter what season in life, whether or not I am discovering God outside of religion or celebrating within a community, because it clearly defines (for me) life on earth. It reminds us that yes, there will be seasons of despair and silence but those days must not make me forget that at the end of every season, there is hope, there are answered prayers, and there are miracles.
