THE lead counsel of expelled Negros Oriental congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr. warned the Department of Justice (DoJ) spokesman against making statements just for the sake of having something to say.
Lawyer Ferdinand Topacio was reacting to the statement issued by DoJ spokesman Assistant Secretary Jose Dominic Clavano that Teves must face allegations against him in the Philippines after his legal counsels said they are exploring other legal moves including bringing the alleged persecution of the former lawmaker to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNHCR).
