Get licenses, retailers of medical devices told

THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday advised all retailers of medical devices to secure their license to operate (LTO) following the full implementation of FDA Circular 2021-021.

The circular, issued on Oct. 7, 2021, aims to provide specific guidelines on the licensing of retailers of medical devices supplementing the provisions of the Department of Health Administrative Order (AO) 2020-0017. It took effect on Dec. 18, 2021 after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation on Dec. 3, 2021.
