10 outstanding women in Cagayan Valley recognized

TUGUEGARAO CITY: Ten women were honored for their contribution to the economic development and poverty alleviation in the region during the 12th IDDU Honor Roles Awardees held at the DPWH New Conference Hall in this city on Friday, March 22.

The IDDU (love in Ibanag) awardees were Mabuwaya Foundation operations manager Marites Balbas (environment); Cagayan resident Jail Supt. Maria Lourdes Pacion (law enforcement), who is assigned at the Manila City Jail; Tuguegarao City Agriculturist Evangeline Calubaquib (science and technology); Science and Technology-Region 1 (Ilocos Region) Regional Director Teresita Tabaog (gender and development); farm operator Dauphine Alviar (agriculture); civic group president Corazon Xy-za Escobar (humanitarian service); retired Population Commission deputy executive director Mia Ventura (public service); school master teacher Jenifer Oliquiano (education); recording artist Ruth Lee Resuello (culture and arts); and Quirino provincial administrator Carmelita Jimenez (local governance).
