CCG water cannons cause 'heavy damage' on PH boat

(UPDATE) A PHILIPPINE vessel carrying supplies for Filipino troops at the Ayungin Shoal was hit by water cannons from two China Coast Guard (CCG) ships, sustaining 'heavy damage,' the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Saturday.

The Unaizah on May 4 was en route to the grounded BRP Sierra Madre at 8:52 a.m. when the incident occurred.
